WASTE
SORTING PLANTS

We design and build waste sorting plants by providing a complete turnkey service, accompanying the customer through each stage: from initial design, through installation and testing, to after-sales service.

Each plant represents a highly customized solution, developed by carefully considering:

  • the specific type of incoming waste
  • the required hourly throughput
  • the different waste fractions to be valued
  • the characteristics and constraints of the building where it will be installed

To ensure maximum accuracy and reliability at the design stage, we use 3D laser scanning of the building. This advanced technology allows us to:

  • create a complete three-dimensional simulation of the plant before its implementation
  • accurately verify all encumbrances
  • prevent potential issues that could slow down the installation phase
  • optimize the entire installation process

In the construction of each waste sorting line, we follow strict guidelines that ensure:

  • minimization of plant downtime
  • optimization of the footprint on the layout
  • maximum flexibility and ease of use through intuitive HMI interfaces
  • high standards of safety and ergonomics for operators
  • energy efficiency with minimized consumption
  • accessibility and simplicity in maintenance operations
  • provisions and arrangements for future changes or expansions
  • full integration with third-party manufacturers’ machinery (magnets, balers, optical selectors)

We offer customized solutions with different levels of automation, adapting to the specific needs of each Customer:

Purely manual systems with presence of operators

Semi-automated systems

Fully automated systems

Each solution is designed and implemented to effectively handle different types of waste, always ensuring maximum efficiency and operational reliability.
IN
OUT

Waste from the collection of plastic packaging

Heterogeneous material consisting mainly of plastic packaging of different shapes and polymers, aluminium or steel metal packaging, multi-material packaging, and poly-bonded packaging.

  • packaging divided by polymer (PET, PE, PP, PS) and/or color
  • film material
  • metals
  • polylaminates
  • RDF

Plastic liquid containers

material consisting of streams of plastic bottles of different polymers and colors, loose or pressed into bales with contaminants of different nature, in different percentages.

  • packaging divided by polymer (PET, PE, PP, PS) and/or colors, ready for the next steps (washing/grinding).
  • metals

RDF

material consisting of waste streams from the sorting processes of paper, plastics and undifferentiated municipal solid waste.

  • RDF, waste-derived fuel ready for use in waste-to-energy plants or within cement plants as a replacement for traditional fossil fuels.

Waste from paper and cardboard collection

material consisting of a stream from the separate household collection of paper and cardboard.

  • white paper
  • mixed paper
  • cardboard

Industrial waste

Waste from trade and industry, with different compositions and generally high density.

  • Paper and cardboard
  • RDF
  • Metals
  • Mixed or polymer-separated plastics (typically PET and PE)
  • Film material

Waste from separate collection

Waste from residential separate collection, in which the organic fraction is separated at source from the other recyclable fractions. As the composition is highly variable, the density can also take different values, typically depending on the higher or lower presence of paper and cardboard and film fraction.

  • Paper and cardboard
  • RDF
  • Metals
  • Rigid plastics (PET and PE)
  • Film material
  • Mixed plastics
  • Polylaminates

Undifferentiated household waste

Waste with heterogeneous composition that includes both organic material and sortable and valuable materials such as plastics and metals.

  • Paper and cardboard
  • Fine fraction
  • Organic fraction
  • Metals
  • Rigid plastics (PET and PE)
  • Films
  • Mixed plastics
  • Polylaminates

A custom configuration

Using specially developed software, we process the available environment in which to integrate the system or even individual machines, and place them within it to assess space requirements and estimate the most suitable solution based on the client’s needs and the available space.

The environment is rendered through point clouds, and the customized 3D models are inserted into the available spaces.

Equipment and configurations

Our design philosophy combines two fundamental aspects: the necessary customization of each waste sorting plant and the standardization of the components that make up the waste sorting lines. A combination that allows us to offer optimal solutions, combined with certain lead times and optimized costs.

  • Ensuring maximum flexibility in plant design
  • Ensure fast and certain lead times
  • Controlling costs
  • Maintain consistently high-quality standards
  • Optimize manufacturing and assembly processes
